Biography

 Alexander Rodriguez born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. At the age of eight yeras old start his studies in music. He learned classical piano and voice with the cuban musician Carmen Villarao. After two years he passed the audition to be part of the Escuela Libre de Musica Juan Morel Campos de Ponce (Juan Morel Campos School of Music) to continue his carreer. At the age of nine he performed his firts Piano Concert playing Mozart and Thompson pieces. In 1992 was part of one of the best choir in Puerto Rico under the baton of Profa. Juanita Vazquez Colon who inspire Mr. Rodriguez to continue his career in Choral Conducting. He was a solist of this choir for three years singing many wonderful pieces, including Spirituals. In 1995 entry to the Department of Music of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. In that moment he participated as a tenor of the University Concert Choir performedin many activities including Aruba, Dominican Republic, United State (Orlando City Hall, Vinece Cathedral and Carnegie Hall) In 1998 he was part of the Ponce Polifonic Chorale, performing Symphony 8 of Gustav Mahler and the Magnificat in D of Johann Sebastian Bach. In 2002 he graduated of the Pontifical Catholic University acquiring a B.A. in Music Education. In November of 2001 was part of the faculty of the Academia Cristo Rey (Christ the King Academy) of Ponce, Puerto Rico. He was a Music Teacher, Choral Director. Drama and History. Under his direction the choir perform in many venues in Puerto Rico and around the world. His music program was recognized for the Carnegie Hall Concert Series, The City Hall of New York, the City Hall of Ponce, and the Senate of Puerto Rico. In 2012 incorporated the company Caribbean Music Development, Inc. and created many events for young artist. One of the most important event was The All State Music and Dance of Puerto Rico. In 2014 maestro Rodriguez moved to Atlanta, GA to increase his career and develop new skills. Currently he work for the company In Home Music Teacher, teaching Piano and Vocal lessons.
